Dancing with Darkness

Living in NYC we are exposed to so much and not till things are taken away do we notice the profound impact it has upon our lives. On Saturday we took our two hour journey into the darkness. Each time totally different and unexpected things pop up there. This time round things just were so simple. There in the darkness existing without body, words being pulled from the source and such silence. Surrounded by this silence and not in a scary way at all it was refreshing. You know what beyond words something shifted deep inside me and till this moment I can still feel it. People think of darkness with fear, but what I experienced nourished and freed me. I went out into the night open to what was there outside and more importantly inside of me. Able to tune into myself without tuning others out. I went to a rooftop barbecue and reveled in the miracle of sky, danced barefoot in kitchens and later on I danced into the day fueled by love and drum beats. All of this started in a darkness a small seed planted and nurtured with conscious choice and love again and again and again.

Balls of Bliss

I love living in Brooklyn
I feel like I am continually coming into contact with people and artists dedicated to living their lives with love and consciousness. Lately been dancing in many circles where beings communicate using words, sounds, movement, music and silence. Last night I gathered with a group of powerful multidimensional AND talented women. We told stories and challenged each other we listened, laughed and rejoiced in our meeting. Communion like this should be happening all over and I am excited and blessed to be a part of it. Check out a couple of these lovely ladies doing their thing at Dope Swan.
I brought along with me some raw money rolls and raw chocolate cookie dough which the ladies insist that I share, so here is the recipe courtesy of Gone Raw

Raw Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
Serves 1
Someone else deserves the credit for this recipe, but I can’t remember where I jotted it down from. All I know is that it is a really tasty and decadent recipe to whip up when you are craving something sweet. At some point, I plan to try experimenting with this for a raw version of cookie dough ice cream – yum!
PLEASE NOTE: I included this recipe in the Kids category, but children under 1 year should not be served honey. Also, some children can have adverse reactions to sesame and cacao, so please use caution.
Ingredients
1 tablespoon raw tahini
1 tablespoon raw cacao nibs
1 tablespoon raw honey
2½ teaspoons coconut oil
1 drop organic vanilla extract
Preparation
Stir all ingredients in a bowl. If you can hold off long enough, it is even better chilled. Eat with a spoon or use as a sweet spread or dip for fruit pieces.

;)I left out the vanilla and also used less coconut oil, and substituted agave for honey one time and did agave honey combo the last time. Yum! These were gone in under a minute.

Enjoy and be filled with Bliss!

This Meditation is based on the journey of the Essenes into the forests to commune with the divine in darkness.
In Darkness we enter into a deeply nourishing and relaxing space where we can come into contact with ourselves and the divine.
In a completely lightproof room we journey into the darkness with eyes wide open.

"Just like the seed that starts its life in the darkness of the soil,
or the child that starts its life in the
darkness of the womb,
all beginnings are in the dark, because darkness is one of the most essential things
for anything to begin."

Dynamic and Darkness meditation

This month we cancel the dynamic cycle meditation. But I'm still meditate, I'm lucky enough to be able to do dynamic at my apartment end also I set up a small room where I can enjoy darkness meditation in the night time. I realized that I cannot weak up in the morning without doing one active meditation, my day is so alive if I do, if I don't it looks like I'm a sleeping walker, my energy is lower, and specially my presence is so different. I like when I feel ground, present, with more focus and a sparkling energy in my body. Doing darkness almost every night it's become my way to encounter who I am. If I feel sad or angry, or if I feel fear for something, what I'm doing is not avoid it but I'm going to stay there in the darkness and feel it, and breath inside whatever is there. My life become more simple, I'm enjoy every single moment and a start to learn to stay where I am, aloud whatsoever wants to come in my life to come. So I wish and I hope that you can come sometimes in our events where the more important thing is the meditation and how it can touch you, so that you too can start to celebrate your time in this life instead to fight with it.

Much playful time for everyone

Dynamic Cycle Cancelled For May

We cancelled this months cycle due to not having enough participants. There is still a possibility to make it happen on the weekend, if there is interest. This choice, though a challenging one to make,( since Dynamic is my favorite!) essentially is what we need in this moment. Perhaps a little space to step back and take a look at what and how we share.
We share these meditations from and with our heart, not for any monetary gain but because they have become such an integral part of our daily lives it is only natural that we share. Doing Dynamic for about three years has really brought new color to my life and also has brought out the things that were lurking in the shadows. Overall, empowering to choose the life I wish to lead. This is the power and beauty of meditation. Though this path can be challenging it is definitely worthwhile as I can make the choice every day, every moment to be and be totally! In love with all that life has to offer, seeing that everything is a lesson/and a gift. I am learning to embrace this more and more each day. I am grateful for all those who have shone light upon me and this path and grateful for those who have walked with me, for those who took a step on then off. I am grateful

Meditation in Every Moment

road

This path we have chosen
This path we have chosen is not an easy one to tread upon
This path is filled with joy, tears, laughter,
sadness, fear, apprehension, tension, appreciation and love
This path we have chosen every moment
This path is a process and with each step we shift its direction
This path leads to the light and dark places within
This path leads to the source
